| On June 2, 2007, Copperton had it's first ever, (of hopefully many) progressive dinner. We started at the Catholic Church for salad. We then walked over to the Mormon Church for the main course: hamburgers, hot dogs, and chips. There were all the condiments to make them so tasty. After that, we "progressed" to the Methodist Church for dessert: cake and cookies. Afterwards, there was a short program in the church that discussed the community, its unity, past events, etc. We were at the same time celebrating the 60th anniversary of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Copperton. The church building was constructed in 1942 in Kearns, and then the building itself was moved to Copperton in 1948. It was great to see the community of different faiths come together in unity and enjoy this combined event. |
